The death has been announced of Honourable Salome Ngaba Zogo, CPDM representative for the Lekie in the Centre region. She died Sunday August 15 following an illness.
The National Assembly in Cameroon is once again mourning. The Lower house of parliament has lost its ninth member in this current Legislative year.
According to a communique signed by the House Speaker, the Rt Honourable Cavaye Yehuie Djibril, the said member, Honourable Salome Ngaba Zogo breathed her last Sunday August 15 following an illness.
She was the representative for the Lekie Division in the Centre region of Cameroon and was elected during the council and parliamentary elections in February last year. Honourable Salome Ngaba Zogo was a member of the follow up and evaluation of development projects committee.
She was preceded earlier this month by her colleague, Honourable Ngahane Isaac, CPDM member of parliament for Wouri East in the Littoral region.
Her death takes to nine the number of parliamentarians all belonging to the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM to have kicked the bucket in this 10th legislature.
They include:
-Hon. Harouna Abdoulaye, CPDM MP for Mayo Louti in the North region;
Hon. Bernadette Saraou, CPDM MP for Mayo Kani North in the Far North region;
-Hon. Yakouba Yaya, CPDM MP for Mayo Sava in the Far North region;
-Hon. Djibrilla Kaou, CPDM MP for Mayo Tsanaga South in the Far North region;
-Hon. Prince Mikody, CPDM MP for Boumba and Ngoko in the East region;
-Hon. Emilia Monjowa Lifaka, CPDM MP for Fako, South West region;
-Hon. Marinette Ngo Yetna, CPDM MP for Sanaga Maritime, Littoral region;
-And Hon. Isaac Ngahane, CPDM MP for Wouri East, Littoral region.
