These two professional music videos, produced by Collectif 237, show the joy in which Cameroonians are happy and eager to host the CAN 2019 in their country .
Collective 237 is original in that it does not want to put any personality forward. The only goal of these professional musicians is to bring joy and allow everyone to escape musically. This is not a musical project based on the ego of the musician and – as proof – in the music videos put online a few days ago, we do not see the artists.
The collective 237 is made up of Cameroonian musicians from Buea, Douala and Yaoundé. The remastering and arrangements were made in a Paris studio.
“We chose to talk about football and the CAN in our first two titles,” explains Manuella, one of the singers. “Football in Cameroon is life! And the coming CAN, it’s going to be a unifying and festive event – a perfect decompressor. So we wanted to start the festivities. We want to make the Indomitable Lions dance and give them a little of our joy and a lot of our motivation, to keep the Cup at home. “
