Dr Bertrand Amougou, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the CPDM Central Committee for the Mvila Division now rests in Ebolowa, chief town of the South region.
Two days after the 69-year-old passed away at the Yaounde Central Hospital, CPDM Senator for the Mvila Division in the South region of Cameroon has been laid to rest.
He was buried in Ebolowa this Friday August 6 in a ceremony attended by Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo, Head of the Permanent Delegation of the CPDM for the South, the Governor of the region, the President of the CPDM Parliamentary group at the Senate, the Senior Divisional Officer for Mvila, other Senators and family and friends.
Images of the burial ceremony plus the fact that he was buried just two days after he passed on to glory show that the late States man succumbed to the deadly Coronavirus pandemic that has killed millions worldwide including super stars and icons.
Dr Bertrand Amougou was an active member of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement. He was Head of the Permanent Delegation of the party’s Central Committee for the Mvila Division.
The teacher by profession and writer was a lecturer at the University and holder of a PhD in letters obtained at the University of Paris-XII Val-de-Marne.
He is the author of the book titled La Pensée Politique de Paul Biya published by l’Harmatan Cameroun in 2013 with preface BY Prof Jacques Fame Ndongo.
He breathed his last few days after Hon. Isaac Ngahane, CPDM Parliamentarian for Wouri East.
